- Crown Lengthening: a procedure to expose tooth structure for restoring with a crown or bridge abutment.
- Scaling and root planing (deep cleaning) is a periodontal therapy, deep cleaning or non-surgical treatment that removes plaque and calculus ( hardened plaque) from the root surface and at the junction of the enamel and root surface. These areas are inflamed due to the calculus, toxins, and bacteria at the root surfaces that can lead to tooth loss. The calculus is removed by scalers and curettes with topical or local anesthesia to insure comfort. The deep cleaning stops the periodontal disease process, however, frequent maintenance is required.
- Irrigation Therapy (Peridex): medicaments and rinses with anti-bacterial components are placed to cleanse the periodontal pocket areas for better healing of the gum tissue affected.
